Durex is a popular brand of rubber latex condoms, made by SSL International, a UK-based multinational company.  The name Durex originally came from London Rubber Company as a trademark in 1929.  It stands for “durability, reliability, and excellence.“  With more than one billion units manufactured every year, it is now one of the most successful brands in the market for prophylactic sheaths.  Its name has also become synonymous to durable latex.
